A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To state it differently, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the very same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be really easy if you have a web hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created enumerated alphabetically and on the right side of each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously notify you if a certain mailbox receives all the email messages pertaining to a given domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. If there is activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be set up with a few clicks of the mouse in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain name registered here. To activate the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you’ll need to click the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be done in the same way and will not require more than one click either. If a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a particular domain name, you’ll get a warning message. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or deactivate anything automatically.
